This position will be responsible for planning and coordinating the inbound supply of crude soybean oil and palm oil to support the refinery operations. The individual will be tasked with planning, assisting, and executing the company’s internal and external truck/rail/barge/vessel movements efficiently and cost-effectively across business units within the company. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will be involved in the full chain of events coordinating all aspects of the supply chain functionality. Individual works in close coordination with sales, operations, and transportation teams for truck/railcar/barge/vessel movements and constantly look for synergies and efficiencies. Individuals should have a working knowledge of the goals and forward planning to meet said goals.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate reports as needed and other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Execute truck, rail, barge, and vessel logistics in fulfillment of purchase contract terms for internal and external customers. Duties include inter-company contract entry and execution.
• Support stakeholders after hours and on weekends as needed.
• Be the point of contact person for suppliers of inbound materials for all logistics documentation-related matters such as load orders and bills of lading.
• Responsible for managing inventories of crude soybean oil and palm oil and coordinating inbound logistics to meet refinery production requirements.
• Prepare and execute supply plans with little supervision to support refinery operations and other business groups. Knowledge & understanding of the outside facilities & the refinery including operations, production, storage capabilities & inventories is key in the decision-making process.
• Audit railcar PEC’s charges (private empty car) as needed.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree OR relevant experience within supply chain management.

Experience Requirements

• 5 plus years experience plus increasing responsibility within Logistics.
• Strategic planning mindset
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and extremely comfortable with numbers
• A strong knowledge of all Microsoft Tools, with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
• Experience with WMS
• Ability to travel between Headquarters and 3PL as needed
• Excellent communication skills

Experience Preferred

Experience in Warehousing, Direct-to-Consumer, Food Production or Trucking is a plus.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
