Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning/refactoring a product to adapt to our customer's and associates' needs. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Sr. Software Engineers may be involved in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring as well as mentoring less experienced engineers.

Site reliability engineers(SRE) are responsible for ensuring that the underlying infrastructure is running smoothly and that software systems and tools are working as expected. including:
Services Availability
Performance testing
Comprehensive Monitoring & Alerting
Fixing issues
Responding to incidents
Usually taking on-call responsibilities
Cross-team collaboration
SLO (Service Level Objectives ) and Capacity Planning
Full Lifecycle Management along with Cost monitoring & Reduction
Change Management
Incident Management
Problem Management
Google Cloud Platform or any other Cloud Services experience.
scripting languages- Python and Unix shell or GO
Web server technologies- HTTP, Nginx, Apache
Infrastructure configuration management- Ansible or any other tools
Basic to moderate application programming experience- Java
Application Performance Monitoring tools- Stack Driver & New Relic or similar tools
CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Google CDM, Docker
Team player. Enjoys working with developers & other Infrastructure team members.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with version control system
  • Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
  • Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
  • Experience with front end technology such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript frameworks, an object-oriented programming language (preferably Java), Relational or noSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, modern software design patterns
