Job Description

SENIOR RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

The laboratory of Roger Belizaire, MD, PhD, is a team of research investigators at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our laboratory uses a range of molecular and cell biological techniques to elucidate the molecular basis of cancer and hematologic disorders and to develop novel therapeutics.

GENERAL SUMMARY

A full-time Senior Research Technician position is available in the Belizaire laboratory in the Department of Pathology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This is an ideal mid-level position in the world of cutting-edge cancer research. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging research environment, and can interact well with others as part of a cohesive team.

Our group studies the pathobiology of myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloid malignancies, using a combination of quantitative proteomics, genetic and chemical screens, protein biochemistry, and cell-based assays. We aim to comprehensively characterize oncogenic phospho-signaling in myeloid neoplasms; to define genetic dependencies associated with recurrent oncogenic drivers; and to leverage our understanding to inform targeted therapies for adult and pediatric patients with myeloid neoplasms.
