Senior Research Coordinator Jobs

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff is seeking to fill a Professional Learning position for the purpose of designing and implementing grant-funded STEM education

professional learning projects and programs. Duties may vary based on expertise and the nature of externally funded projects. The individual in this position is responsible for the independent solicitation, grant proposal writing, and/or contract negotiation necessary to maintain a portfolio of STEM education programs and services.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-6 years of research support experience.
• Master’s degree in relevant field.
• A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the above

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and cultures.
• Project management and/or implementation experience.
• Master’s degree or higher in a field related to science, science/STEM education, or education.
• Experience serving as a principal investigator on grants.
• 5+ years experience working in STEM education in formal and/or informal settings.
• Grant / proposal writing experience.
• Experience leading professional development, particularly in STEM.

Knowledge

• Use of data in science teaching and learning.
• Knowledge in STEM content.
• Knowledge of effective pedagogy and strategies in science and STEM teaching and learning.
• Familiarity with current research-based education and practice, particularly in STEM education

Salary range begins at $54,779. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
