The Opportunity
As the Senior Reporting Analyst, you will work closely with Loss Prevention Senior Management and Fraud Operations Leadership to provide leaders with key metrics on a real time, intra-day schedule. Primary responsibilities will include working with, manually compiled, real time data to methodically understand trends and supply reporting to fraud leaders. The Business Analyst will drive value throughout the day via analytics and volume reporting. The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated, detail oriented, and can sift through voluminous amounts of information to pinpoint which items are relevant for leaders. The Business Analyst will need a blend of business skills, data analytics and reporting skills. This role will require impeccable organizational, time management, and communication skills, and must work well in a matrix organization. #LIHYBRID
The Work Itself
  • Assist manager in the preparation of reports as required for critical issues and awareness.
  • Recommend process/procedural changes needed to avoid risk to the bank and improve the customer experience and participate in the development of business cases supporting recommended policy changes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal customers needing the real-time reporting.
  • Use data analytics and reporting to alert leaders on aging production work that could cause regulatory risk and a poor customer experience.
  • Develop and execute a real-time intraday reporting system
  • Identification and clear escalation of potential risks and issues to leadership.
  • Provide analytical and data support in the design and implementation of reporting for Fraud Operations
  • Create a series of reports utilizing real-time data provided to the Analyst.
  • Perform analytics on data from production systems.
  • Works with the Loss Prevention Supervisors and Managers on current volumes, productivity numbers, and trends.
The Skills You Bring
  • Proficiency with MS Office required (advanced levels of Excel preferred)
  • Strong Windows based PC skills required
  • Proficiency in various database environment, such as Hadoop, Oracle or AWS and proven experience to extract data
  • Advanced Data visualization skills through Power BI or Tableau required
  • Experience analyzing multiple streams of data to draw conclusion and/or take actions
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and a proven track record of working independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer centric environment, balancing the need to meet production and quality standards
  • 3+ years of experience in the data reporting/analytics field required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred
  • Experience in financial services a plus
  • Challenge driven, goal oriented and capable of handling emergency or crisis situation
