The Senior Project Professional – Project Management is accountable for project management, driving excellence in Source to Pay processes and procedures, managing key initiatives that impact the organization, increasing productivity, creating visibility, and providing leadership and direction. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Procurement Director – Strategy, Process Excellence and Analytics, the Senior Project Professional will be a member of the Procurement Center of Excellence team and will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead/manage the Procurement COE PMO initiatives focused on continuous process improvement, simplification, system enhancements, quality, governance, and controls, while maximizing resources and improving efficiency and productivity
  • Utilize data analytics as a tool on all projects to initiate, develop, support and recommend business practices and procedures that reduce risk, increase productivity, and reduce cost.
  • Lead and manage medium-large size cross-functional projects; specifically building and maintain project plans, conducting project update calls, and appropriately updating stakeholders and leaderships of progress and change throughout the project.
  • Research and leverage benchmark data to establish best business practices and determine how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes.
  • Develop and manage enterprise supplier management standards, tools, platforms, and governance processes in partnership with Risk and Vendor Management teams.
  • Serve as a key member of various cross-organization committees, including as Finance Liaison, partnering with associates from other business areas on special initiatives.
  • Manage sourcing governance processes.
  • Prioritize, problem-solve and address issues that arise, deliver guidance / training on processes and systems, provide subject matter expertise and insight on future projects and other initiatives that involve or impact Source to Pay
  • Specials projects supporting the Enterprise Procurement Supplier Management Leadership team.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations and training
  • 5+ years business related experience with at least 3 years of Procurement or Contracting or Source to Settle experience.
  • Ability to influence others and work with others effectively, build rapport and establish good working relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and complete projects in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Management, Finance, Information Systems, or an engineering related field
  • Strong process improvement and analytical skills
  • Experience managing large scale complex projects, Agile and Quality project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to look beyond the obvious to find root cause & innovative solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Coupa
  • Understanding with Corporate Finance on Merger and Acquisition related projects
  • PMP, SCRUM, Six Sigma certification

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
