Highfield are working closely with a successful, busy construction management firm who currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Project Manager (Owners Representative) to join them in Sacramento, CA.
This opportunity will lead Capital Project Construction Efforts in the Healthcare Market Sector in accordance with (OSHPD/HACI) regulatory oversight guidelines. Due to the greenfield project site, knowledge of civil work and all utility connectivity with the buildings will be an additional aspect to the project scope. The ideal candidate will have ambitions to build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented companies in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for onsite quality assurance of contractor work
- Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements
- Conduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information
- Manage the design process with the client and designers
- Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to the owner
- Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client
- Provide management of project logistics, organization, safety, and work force utilization
- Act as an Owner’s Representative providing CM Services with direct client facing responsibilities
- Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of the contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
- Collaborate with IOR and HCAI field officials
- Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer, adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Experience with new ground up healthcare facility projects is required
- Experience with adjacent horizontal concrete work surrounding a large vertical project for the purpose of parking, active traffic areas for pedestrians, and wet utility connectivity is seen as more competitive
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline is preferred
- 12 or more years of Project Manager experience in a Healthcare Construction Environment in California is required
- Experience in civil work for a greenfield site is strongly desired
- Experience with direct correspondence with hospital stakeholders (Physicians, Staff, and Facilities) is strongly preferred
- Experience with the extensive MEP system requirements for a new modern hospital is strongly desired
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints is required
- Knowledge of design requirements, architecturally significant medical equipment, and industry practices specific to the Healthcare (HCAI) sector in California is required
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite is required with knowledge of Primavera P6 and Procore is highly preferred
- Strong collaboration, conflict resolution and team building skills are required and essential
- Advanced knowledge and application of project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required
