General Summary (What Is Done And Why)
The primary objectives of the Senior Project Manager are to drive to positive project outcomes and secure stakeholder satisfaction. The role of the Senior Project Manager is to plan, execute, report, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and orchestrating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Projects may be agile-hybrid or waterfall.
Essential Functions, in Priority Order (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)

In Addition To The Education Requirement
Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from prolonged work at the computer. Individual must be able to travel to complete applicable assignments, projects and training. Deadlines, workloads and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.
Working Conditions (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)
Internal -- work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.) No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External -- Some travel is required; however, information on environmental conditions is not available.

- Conducts project retrospectives with project team and stakeholders to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Closure and Team Development: Time: 10%
- Facilitates project meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals
- Ensures requirements documentation and requirements tracing are incorporated into the project
- Identifies risks and develops mitigating strategies.
- Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Develops full-scale project plans to include but not limited to project charter, project request, project schedule, and milestones using appropriate tools and according to the project methodology best suited for the project
- Manages the tracking and reporting of project benefits post-project.
- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
- Manages changes in scope, budget, and timeline in accordance with the PMO SOP.
- Defines project scope, hard deadlines, budget, goals, deliverables, organization and communication structure in collaboration with the project owner and internal and third-party stakeholders.
- Provides guidance for other project managers.
- Manages the currency of project data in portfolio.
- Executing and Reporting: Time: 40%
- Participates in the continuous improvement of organizational project standards, practices and tools.
- Planning: Time: 50%
Education (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of related experience required.
- Project management certification (Project+, CAPM, PMP, etc.) preferred.
In Addition To The Education Requirement
- Seven or more years of direct work experience in a project management capacity.
- Experience managing medium to large-scale projects with medium to high degrees of complexity.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Gathering Analysis or Business Process Analysis preferred
- Previous experience in business system/technology upgrade or replacement projects and in implementation of personalization or digitalization technologies preferred.
- Experience leveraging Third-Party vendor project teams and resources to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive work across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops for Agile Project management a plus
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or other commercially available tools
- Previous project leadership at Financial Institution(s) or demonstrated capabilities and aptitude for leading projects in multiple industries preferred
- Demonstrated ability to partner and influence team members and stakeholders with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
