Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role combines the responsibilities of a Field Project Engineer and a Customer Support Specialist, with additional leadership and technical expertise required. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing complex projects, providing advanced technical support to customers, and ensuring the successful implementation and integration of our electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, data analytics, and substantial field installation experience.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage large-scale projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
•Act as the primary technical liaison for key customers, providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
•Conduct on-site visits and inspections to assess installation requirements, identify potential issues, and provide technical expertise for problem resolution.
•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, sales representatives, and field technicians, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
•Perform rigorous system testing, validation, and commissioning activities to ensure optimal performance and adherence to project specifications.
•Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training sessions, product demonstrations, and presentations to customers and internal staff.
•Proactively identify areas for process improvement, propose solutions, and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
•Analyze project data and metrics to generate valuable insights, identify trends, and recommend strategic improvements.
•Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices related to electronics and data analytics.
•Contribute to the development of product documentation, manuals, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced degree is a plus.
•Extensive experience in project management, preferably in the field of electronics, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
•In-depth knowledge of electronics, including circuitry, sensors, and data acquisition systems, coupled with a strong understanding of data analytics.
•Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
•Substantial experience in field installation and deployment of electronic systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of best practices and practical challenges.
•Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the aptitude to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
•Willingness to work hands-on at times.
•Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Proven experience in providing advanced customer support and effectively resolving complex technical issues.
•Expertise in data visualization techniques and tools, enabling effective communication of technical information to diverse audiences.
•Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems, and their integration with electronic systems.
•Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
