Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Program Manager to join our team. As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing complex engineering projects within the Manufacturing Industry. You will utilize your extensive project management expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects, from prototype concepts to manufacturing launch, while adhering to the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your ability to navigate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and effectively communicate will be essential in this role.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of complex engineering projects within the manufacturing industry, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Utilize Agile project management methodologies, particularly in the context of Hardware Projects, to drive project success.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, Supply Chain, NPI, quality assurance, and regulatory personnel, to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  4. Develop comprehensive project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  5. Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, ensuring alignment and proactive resolution.
  6. Identify, assess, and communicate cross-functional issues and risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  7. Manage projects involving electromechanical systems and disposables, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from early concept development to manufacturing launch.
  8. Work with contract design and engineering organizations to ensure successful project management and delivery.
  9. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines across global sites to ensure cohesive project execution.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant Quality Management Systems and Design Controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  2. Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering engineering projects within the Medical Device industry.
  3. Minimum of 5+ years of Agile project management experience, preferably with a focus on Hardware Projects.
  4. PMP certification is highly desirable.
  5. Demonstrated experience managing projects involving electromechanical systems and disposables, from concept to manufacturing launch, within the Medical Device field.
  6. Strong technical background and the ability to assess and communicate cross-functional issues and risks effectively.
  7. Experience working with contract design and engineering organizations is desired.
  8. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and Design Controls within the Medical Device industry.
  9. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
