Position Summary

The Senior Procurement Manager oversees all DMS purchasing of raw materials, work in process, finished goods, and other items as assigned, to ensure materials, products, and services are received on time and under budget, to support DMS business and customer delivery and service requirements. This position will also oversee the estimating functions for all DMS facilities to help standardize estimating and outsourcing processes to standardize costs and implement best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develops raw material strategies that support DMS business objectives and deliver reliable, cost-effective outcomes to customers, both internal and external.
• Establish measurable KPI's, create, and maintain data and reporting tools to properly represent department performance and improvement.
• Drives continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service options.
• Identifies and implements best practice approaches to improve all aspects of the planning, ensuring DMS has a service and cost advantage.
• Builds and leads relationships with key partners including paper, and other raw materials
• Establishes strategic service models with partners, negotiating competitive volume and contractual rates for all DMS facilities.
• Oversees development, monitoring, and reporting of department budget.
• Leads the deployment, management, and adoption of technology including managing Company processes via PrintStream.
• Identifies and enhances the current estimating process to enable a single source program for processing estimates so that all DMS facilities can produce pricing for each other remotely.
• Identifies and enhances the current outsourcing process to gain leverage from combined volumes from all DMS facilities and establish preferred vendor lists with contracts.
• Enables the training and implementation for estimating improvements for ongoing growth and equipment including workflow adjustments. Does this consistent with company pricing strategy.
• Works with Finance to identify key cost saving opportunities, develops initiatives and objectives for these opportunities, and executes a strategy to realize such savings.

Requirements

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in logical and well-thought-out manner
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Leadership skills and the ability to inspire direct and indirect reports, leading the team to a common goal and developing team for the future needs of the organization
• Prefer experience in a procurement and estimating leadership role within the direct mail marketing/print industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or related field of study or an equivalent level of experience in a manufacturing related industry
