RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• Engage in and improve whole lifecycle of Database Services Oracle products & tools for the infrastructure services on-premises and in cloud. This includes inception, design, curation and engineering through development, deployment and refinement
• Work in Agile model with Scrum method and SRE Principles to deliver reliable and efficient platforms
• In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompassing multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Hosting Services – Database team in Pune, India / Navi Mumbai, India focusing on managed database offerings comprised of product engineering, curation and deployments for Databases Oracle and tools on-premises and in Azure. Our products are consumed by Business aligned Technology and App-Dev teams across business divisions, globally
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Apply a broad range of engineering practices, from analyzing requirements and developing new features to automated testing, deployment, and operations

REQUIREMENTS

• Developing templates using Ansible Playbook
• Must be an expert in YAML, BASH, and Skills for automation on top of Oracle DB platform for housekeeping, compliance, monitoring
• Good experience and exposure to Database / Infrastructure resiliency, backup, and DR Designs
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Engineering, development, curation and deployment for Databases Oracle products & tools
• Good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
• Must be an expert in the Administration of Oracle 19c DBA
• Proficient with Infra-as-a-Code, GIT, GitLab Runner and building CI/CD pipelines
• Azure tools like ARM and PIM (Privileged Identify Management)
• Cloud experience specifically on Azure
• Strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• Experience as an infrastructure engineer focused on Database technology. Proficiency in underlying infrastructure and Operating Systems like Unix RHEL 7/8, Solaris
• Weekend work required on a rotational basis
• Normal hours are 11:30 am CT to 7:30 pm CT
• Development experience in Python modules
