Job Description
The Security Leader will be responsible for implementation, development and oversight for an enterprise-wide corporate security program which incorporates personnel security, asset protection, intellectual property security, crisis management, investigations, and risk assessment within the TaylorMade business environment. Efforts will focus on creating efficient, cross-functional, value-added corporate service that promotes employee responsibility and action, improves security awareness, minimizes corporate risk, and protects the TaylorMade brand, assets, employees and information across the business. This person will be responsible for ensuring appropriate strategies, policies, procedures, management, staffing, and technology are in place to address all physical security related functions and activities throughout the areas of operation, including supply chain, manufacturing, research and development and information technology.
The Security leader will provide direction and set corporate security strategy within the organization and with key suppliers including 3PLs, contracted security providers and integrators, as well as contracted vendors of the organization. This role is also responsible for development and management of the organizations business continuity plan, crisis and emergency response guidelines.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
  • Continually assess and determine proper staffing, coverage and need for systems required to protect premise from security threats of various types.
  • Conduct physical security risk assessments for all global facilities to include: recommendations, implementation plan and costs.
  • Maintains critical information for safety and security related systems for all global facilities through corporate incident management system.
  • Develop and educate company employees as it pertains to security policies and programs (fire/life safety, new hire orientation, etc.)
  • Maintain corporate security intranet web page with current and resourceful information for organization.
  • Conduct investigations upon request, or as follow-up to incidents occurring against TaylorMade, or its employees.
  • Manages capital and operational budget expenditures and allocates resources appropriately.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitors vendor performance and effectiveness, including drafting RFPs, Vendor Evaluation and Selection and establish KPIs throughout contract life cycle.
  • Provide support and advice related to security and safety at corporate events and meetings globally for the purpose of protecting the people attending as well as protection of the company’s reputation.
  • Develops, implements, and leads innovative, value-added security programs and security efforts for the organization, including physical security, intellectual property, personnel security, crisis management, as well as awareness and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Risk Insurance requirements globally as it relates to fire protection systems.
  • Ensure that all locations maintain, inspect, test and remain in compliance with their fire sprinkler and alarm systems.
  • Champion the company business continuity program for organization
  • Oversight of global security systems, including access control, video surveillance, visitor management, incident tracking, emergency notification and key control systems at all corporate facilities.
  • Implement building emergency action plans and response teams
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with security related requirements, guidelines and statutes as outlined in various government regulations related to customs import/export programs (i.e. CTPAT, PIP, AEO, etc.)
  • Supports the development, implementation, and management of company-wide security risk management programs including workplace violence, travel security and emergency response.
  • Support corporate safety program and ensure compliance with related initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the security field, including familiarity with corporate policies and practices related to physical security; executive and personnel protection; investigations; loss and incident reporting/analysis; risk and threat assessment/analysis; crisis management planning and emergency response; guard force operations and management; and integration of security into business operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to provide deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage systems security projects and serve as the access control systems administrator for multiple facilities globally. Must be knowledgeable of technical security systems and programming of same.
  • Ability to cope with change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty.
  • Ability to keep materials and information confidential.
  • Is responsible for 24/7 emergency and crisis notification and response.
  • Experience collaborating with IT, facilities, human resources and legal to implement policy and procedures to protect and organization’s personnel, facilities and assets.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as work as part of a team.
  • Experience in general facilities management (i.e. janitorial, HVAC, maintenance) preferred
  • Strong investigative skills
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), CBCM (Certified Business Continuity Director) is preferred, but not required.
  • Membership in relevant organizations like; ASIS, NFPA, InfraGard, Business Continuity preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience and exposure in the domestic and international security arena dealing with and managing security-related issues.
  • 10+ years in increasing responsibility in corporate security positions or public-sector roles that includes substantial exposure to collaboration with the private sector.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
  • Normal office and warehouse conditions
  • Occasional travel required, including international
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
