Job Description

Please note - the ideal candidate would be willing to travel between our Wisconsin Dells and Madison, WI locations as the role requires 3-4 days a week in office.


Position Summary:

Big Lift (dba Big Joe, dba EP OEM Parts), along with its parent Company, EP Equipment, is the fastest growing manufacturer of lift trucks in the world and is widely considered the most innovative player. Big Joe was founded in 1951 and is well known for its vast portfolio of high-quality electric lift trucks and its' focus on exceptional customer service.

With the growth of Big Lift, our purchasing department is expanding and we are seeking an experienced leader who will design, develop, and manage purchasing and logistics functions and teams while collaborating with cross-functional leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing inventory audits and cycle count processes
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight vendor selection, coordination, tracking, and resolution
  • Become a Plex (ERP) subject matter expert for part set-up, BOM, MRP, and the supplier module
  • Manage, coach and develop purchasing and logistics team
  • Design, develop and manage international and domestic purchasing and logistics function, not limited to inventory management, MRP strategy, and shipping processes


Education Requirements:

  • 4+ years of purchasing, procurement and/or logistic experience, preferred in manufacturing industry
  • 2+ years of managing purchasing and/or logistics functions and teams
  • Bachelors degree in business management, economics preferred but not required


Necessary Skills/Expertise/Knowledge:

  • Strategic thinker with ability to see the big picture and prioritize effectively
  • Analytical with strong grasp of inventory management best practices
  • Persistent in following up on initiatives and overcoming obstacles
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of ERP processes
  • Acute attention to detail
