The Senior Manager, Event Management is an event specialist and local market expert. You will oversee the pre to post event responsibilities, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting. Event elements will often include staffing, product sampling, consumer engagement, asset transportation, POS coordination, and production. This role will report into the Regional Director.


The Senior Manager, Event Management is a role that requires close collaboration with cross business counterpoints and serves as client contact. We ask that you have prior sampling event and production experience.


Key Accountabilities


  • Manage local warehousing with POS and special event assets. Ensuring assets are available/ operable for
  • Follow standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols for issue resolution.
  • Supervisory responsibilities over direct reports - Ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding, and performance and financial management of part time and (if applicable) full time employees.

  • Manage cross agency and in-market communications. Serving as a local contact for Clients and key partners.
  • Approve and submits payroll and expenses for part time and full time employees (where applicable).
  • Coordinate transportation and kit logistics of large event assets.
  • Audit events to ensure executional excellence and compliance with state sampling laws and local regulations.
  • Manage activation schedule, event deliverables, run of show, and staffing/ asset needs:
  • Staff Specialists / Brand Ambassadors for sampling and special events through company staffing
  • This job may require on call and/or working some nights and weekends when event activations are being executed.
  • This job requires travel within the assigned territories (cadence varies upon size of territory).
  • Process payments for invoices from vendor partners.
  • Preparing, managing, and adhering to local market budgets.
  • Manage and/or staff on site production of local elevated / experiential activations; utilizing a creative eye to bring Brands to life.


Qualifications


  • Excellent presentation and effective training experience preferred.
  • Effectively source candidates to ensure a match to the position/organization.
  • 6+ years of experience in event management.
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Budget management skills.


Additional Information


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $59,000 - $96,025. Salary is based on a range of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Our incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
