The Senior Lease Administrator will be responsible for lease administration for the operating real estate portfolio within Ares. We are looking for a detail oriented, focused and team-oriented professional to manage lease administration within the Property Accounting Department.
Summary of Duties:
  • Build rapport with Asset Management and Property Management teams by effectively communicating the lease entry and management process with both parties.
  • Work with Asset Management and Property Management teams to document lease commencement and termination dates of tenants and update as necessary in Yardi.
  • Manage letters of credit held as collateral for tenant security deposits.
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings with Asset Management, Property Management, and accounting teams to receive updates on lease commencements, vacates and terminations.
  • Review all executed lease agreements and ensure that critical financial and operational terms are abstracted into Yardi in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an information resource by utilizing Yardi for tracking new and expiring leases, providing regular and frequent status reports to all relevant parties, and ensuring timely processing and execution of key documents and internal processes
  • Manage gross sales and percentage rent reports from tenants, including entry into and reporting from Yardi.
  • Coordinate review and approval of lease abstract with the Property Accounting and Asset Management teams.
  • Work with Property Accounting teams to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP.
  • Provide guidance on operating expense reimbursement clauses of lease agreements in preparation of annual CAM reconciliations.
  • Assist reporting team by providing timely and accurate leasing metrics as requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
This position requires bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study from an accredited university and at least three years of applicable finance, legal and/or accounting experience, including a demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal agreements. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented individual with strong organizational, administrative and communication skills. The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and complete collaborative projects is critical. Previous experience with Yardi is preferred.

The anticipated range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00
