Position: Senior Health Outcomes Analyst
Reporting To: Health Outcomes Director
Location: Boston, MA (the Well office is in Newton)
Compensation Information: Depending upon experience, the range for this role is $82,000-$92,000.
Position Summary
The overall goal is to engage our members to promote better health outcomes. As a member of the health outcomes team, you will work closely with our data science and clinical teams to measure the positive impact Well has on our members’ health and the value we create for clients. You will help deliver health outcomes projects from beginning to end: frame research questions, collect and synthesize data from disparate data sources, and present findings to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish all stages of analyses including assessing feasibility, estimating timelines, overseeing or implementing analyses, and communicating findings.
- Creatively structure health outcomes results to tell a story, i.e., deliver meaningful reports and dashboards, business metrics, and visualizations in support of strategic objectives.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from a wide range of disparate data sources including product data, administrative claims data, academic literature, clinical trial results, and market research.
- You will take personal responsibility for keeping all Well systems and data, including sensitive member data, secure and safe, according to Well data and security policies and HIPAA guidelines.
- Help define high-value research questions and develop data analyses using standard and innovative statistical methods and analytical tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with research experience in biostatistics, economics, epidemiology, health economics, health policy, mathematics, public health, statistics or related subjects is preferred.
- Great communication and collaboration skills preferred. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- 2+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare, economic consulting, or research setting OR MS or MPH in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Medical Sociology, or equivalent education.
- Proficiency with SQL and at least one other analytic tool/programming language (R, Python, SAS, Stata).
