Life Sciences Center



This position is an integral part of the Bond Life Sciences Center (Bond LSC). This position provides direct professional support and guidance for proposal development and stewardship. This position acts a liaison between the Bond LSC Investigators, MU Sponsored Programs Office and other collaborating units, as well as with external collaborators. This position works with the Bond LSC Director to develop and promote strategic and innovative collaborations among Bond LSC Investigators.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review, edit, and format proposals to ensure proposals meets agency compliance guidelines.
  • Liaison with external entities, such as sub awardees, to obtain needed documentation of collaboration and proposal documents.
  • Help identify areas of need for Bond LSC Investigators and overall center research activities
  • Identify, edit, collect, track, and complete documents as needed to produce competitive proposals that meet both sponsor and university expectations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of sponsor requirements and priorities through active communication with campus colleagues, sponsors and professional societies to selectively disseminate the information to Bond LSC Investigators.
  • Assemble proposal applications in sponsors' electronic portals
  • Develop compliant budgets and budget narratives matching the scope of work.
  • Find acceptable resolutions to questions and concerns among collaborators and administrators during proposal development.
  • Analyze, understand, and interpret complex policies and guidelines to make independent judgment decisions and initiating action.

Salary


$50,367 - $75,000/year

Grade: GGS 10

Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and at least 7 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
