WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Global Inventory Planning Sr. Planner. This is a critical role that will provide significant cross-functional exposure within the DSM org. We are looking for a candidate who has strong problem solving skills, financial and eye for business, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and outstanding teaming and collaboration skills!

This role will be part of the Global Inventory Planning team responsible for optimizing Nike’s multi-billion dollar inventory investment. Inventory is the fuel to Nike’s growth engine, and accurately managed inventory directly results in sustainable, profitable growth. Our team manages the Global inventory portfolio and ensures our inventory growth is aligned to Nike’s strategic priorities. We’ll rely on this role for analysis and scenario planning to ensure that our consumers have the best possible product where they want it, when they want it!


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be responsible for Global Inventory Health Evaluation, in close partnership with Geo S&IP and Analytics teams. You will proactively monitor inventory composition and in partnership with the geo teams, identify and recommend actions/adjustments to drive decision making. You will also support the teams with planning and forecasting, performance management and in-year delivery of inventory health and productivity targets.

You will be a key voice of the business in developing future inventory planning capabilities – helping to provide strategic business direction and support to the development, roll-out and acceleration of Nike’s Inventory Health Evaluation 2.0.


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be a critical member of the Global Inventory Planning team that enables profitable growth for Nike through forecasting, handling and proactively shaping the productivity and health of Nike’s inventory. In delivering business results, you will partner with various cross-functional collaborators, most notably GEO S&IP teams, GBP (Finance), IBP, S&IP Ops, Commercial Analytics and planning teams across DSM including Global Supply Planning, Consumer Planning and Integrated Marketplace planning teams.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years experience in finance, strategy, inventory management, supply planning
  • Demonstrated success influencing others, inspiring change and achieving business results
  • Consistent record of information seeking, analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to build and handle rock-solid processes, as well as ability to scrappily find solutions to ambiguous business questions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a particular strength in distilling complex information and operational issues for executive and cross functional audiences. Ability to use data to tell a story and influence decisions and actions.
  • Ability to lead through collaboration, with outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills; adept at understanding and handling matrix trade-offs to drive action with appropriate urgency
  • Financial competence and understanding of retail KPI’s & concepts
  • Quantitative skills (data, analytics, simulation); Must understand how to use analytics to identify drivers of inventory, root causes and use data insights to improve inventory productivity and drive different business decisions
