Overview:
The Global Events Team at Blue Yonder is responsible for delivering unique, engaging experiences, targeting a variety of audiences across the supply chain industry in order to drive business impact and ensure brand consistency, risk mitigation and efficiency.
Scope:
The Global Events Team is looking for a Senior Global Event Manager with strong sponsorship + exhibit program experience. This person will develop, scale and lead global strategy for industry events as well as the sponsorship program and expo experience for our annual, marquee customer event.
What you will do:
  • Lead the experience design, planning and management for the expo hall of our large, annual customer event
  • Working with a high degree of autonomy and able to self-motivate in ambiguous circumstances
  • Solicit, recommend and manage relationships with the right external vendors to help bring our vision to life
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build and scale global planning processes for before, during and after the event to ensure quality assurance, brand consistency, risk mitigation and efficiencies.
  • Oversee all industry event and sponsorship program logistics (including but not limited to) decorator management, exhibit assets and storage, virtual platform, travel, housing, vendor selection, production, transportation, shipping, speaker recruitment & management, promotions, materials preparation, registration, AV, meeting coordination, tech stack management, contract management, staffing, etc.
  • Communicate clearly and with confidence.
  • Understand and embrace industry best practices, regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Define event goals and specific criteria for where and when we participate in industry events in order to drive business impact.
  • Apply creativity in event planning, promotions and execution to deliver memorable, value-driven events.
  • Fulfill sponsorship benefits as outlined in the partners’ sponsorship packages
  • Scale the ICON expo experience and activations for the industry events (i.e. bring the expo experience on the road)
  • Manage a global team of event planners, contractors and vendors
  • Develop a global event strategy for Tier 1 and 2 industry events (3rd party trade shows and conferences)
  • Remain cool under pressure, agile while juggling multiple projects simultaneously and deliver world-class customer service.
  • Develop events budgets and project plans, compile and reconcile event revenue and expenses, adhering to company processes and policies. Ensure revenue/expenses are properly forecasted each month and budget is upheld for each event. Oversee vendor MSAs, RFPs and negotiations with global procurement teams.
  • Build relationships and offer white glove customer services for our partners
  • Work with external partners to design and produce modular exhibit assets for our Tier 1 and Tier 2 events
  • Responsible for collaborating and proactively communicating with project stakeholders, internal and external partners to define event program objectives, requirements, scope, timing, and budgets.
  • Experience with communicating event objectives, goals and results to key stakeholders across the organization
  • Researches best practices and understands Blue Yonder’s company culture and values to choose appropriate mediums to effectively communicate intended information, engage associates and achieve goals.
  • Develop the sponsorship prospectus for our large, annual customer event
  • Bringing a creative, action-focused approach to problem-solving
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree; CMP, CTSM certification(s) is a plus
  • History of breaking new ground with events and delivering transformational experiences that drive business impact
  • 8+ years’ experience in global event strategy + production roles at a large corporation or event agency
  • Experience leading, managing and coordinating work of event planners, content developers, designers, creative services, and vendors.
  • Global cultural orientation and working experience.
  • Experience developing, scaling and executing large, multi-day trade shows and conferences (both as the organizer and the exhibitor/sponsor)
  • 3+ years’ experience in people management
  • Core skills should include accurate time estimating, capacity planning, identifying dependencies and resources/cost estimates, scaling and strong analytical capacity with experience presenting and communicating findings to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft applications and comfortable learning new software and technology as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, deliver results and stay within budget.

The salary range for this position is $117,075.00 USD to $147,625.00 USD
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
