Our client, a growing financial services and insurance organization, is seeking an outgoing, career-minded financial professional to add to their growing FP&A department. This FP&A position will be high exposure, high profile analytical position, working closely with their investment group, one which includes complex and exciting financial transactions. The FP&A team is a hub of information and a great place to learn about the business and understand how information drives decision-making.

Title: Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 to $125,000 + bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate potential M&A / business development opportunities
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for executives as required
  • Perform quantitative analysis of financial and actuarial data
  • Build and maintain enterprise financial model that details the entire company’s operations and projects future performance
  • Prepare financial statements/reports for internal use at the company by collecting, analyzing, formatting, and presenting information
  • Interpret the company’s financial results and models future financial performance.
  • Build and manage financial databases within Oracle by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources
  • Build forecasts of future company performance for US and international entities.
  • Provide management with the analysis they need to make operational and strategic decisions for the company.



Requirements:

  • Interest in the CFA or working towards CFA designation is a plus
  • The ability to create and utilize complex financial models
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite, specifically Excel data manipulation (pivot tables and charting tools). VBA coding language a plus
  • Big 4 / public accounting experience is a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills and must be detail oriented and possess strong organization and time management skills to meet strict deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Approximately 4 - 6 years of progressive finance/accounting/FP&A experience
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work independently with partners throughout the company
  • Strong work ethic, high level of personal integrity, and accountability
  • Desires and thrives in a fast-paced environment which requires the prioritization of tasks
