Preference would be towards candidates who can relocate - Remote working could be an option in some cases.

We're working exclusively with a global pharmaceutical company to source a Senior Director, Translational Medicine.

Our client is a global, leading pharmaceutical company targeting several therapeutic areas with high unmet need. They have an extremely promising drug development pipeline with multiple "blockbuster potential" treatments which have been developed through their own internal programs + through the acquisition of exciting assets / biotech companies!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞

You will be responsible for the medical strategy and medical oversight for several assets in different therapeutic areas and modalities.

With a focus on translational medicine/early phase clinical development you will provide leadership on innovative programs working with internal experts and on external opportunities.

Core Responsibilities Summarized

1. Responsible for the leadership and safety of drug development from candidate selection to proof-of-concept
2. Work with cross-functional colleagues to support scientific strategy, program management, operational execution, toxicology, PK/PD and more...
3. Write, review, and execute documents including protocols, clinical study reports, research results etc...
4. Construct clinical development plans to support asset development

𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

Our client is looking for a physician-scientist who is adaptable and able to switch between different therapeutic areas and modalities seamlessly.

• Pharmaceutical or Biotech Clinical Development experience is a must,
• MD (Medical Doctor) qualification is a must,
• Experience with translational medicine and early phase clinical trials is a must,
• PhD/MSc is highly desired,
• Strategic mindset / business acumen is desired,
• Background in Neurology is preferred,
• Experience working from candidate selection to achieving proof-of-concept.
