Job Description
Responsibilities


The Senior Director, Market Operations is a strategic operational and network development role, and is responsible for a broad portfolio of key initiatives associated with their market(s) of responsibility. The incumbent will report to a Market/State Leader (or similar role) and will support the overall growth strategy of their market(s) of responsibility, with a heavy emphasis on execution, programmatic and operational implementation, and delivering performance for payor and provider group partnerships. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting the market(s) of responsibility.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • As proxy for Market Leader, provide leadership; hiring and building an engaged team to meet business needs
  • Drive necessary actions to achieve profitability
  • Build and support a network of Medicare Advantage/Fee for Service affiliate providers in market(s) of responsibility
  • Track and evaluate performance indicators of affiliate medical offices
  • Evaluate potential affiliate providers and presenting affiliation opportunities to executive leadership team
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions; is accountable for the implementation of, and effective management of systems and procedures related to the strategic goals of their market(s) of responsibility
  • Foster and develop relationships inside and outside of the organization
  • Assist on growing brand awareness; driving organic growth playbook execution and marketing tactics to grow membership
  • Support the market(s) of responsibility growth plan(s), with a focus on organic membership, provider affiliation opportunities, and acquisitions
  • Negotiating value-based agreements with key payer partners in market(s) of responsibility
  • Foster strong matrix relationships with all functional teams outside direct operational model
  • Work with market leader to establish and implement short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; overseeing and managing goals and market performance
  • Manage relationships of health plan partners and vendors throughout market(s) of responsibility


Job Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience in market operations, business development, network development, and/or sales and marketing functions
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with senior-level leadership, providers, and health plans
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration
  • Must be results-oriented with a focus on quality execution and delivery
  • Experience building high-performing teams and leading transformational change efforts
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or higher preferred
  • Experience developing and executing a state growth strategy preferred
  • Proven track record of supporting growth on top and bottom-line business results
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity toward target patient populations
  • Proven experience organizing and leading a team; experience managing team members and leading through influence (without direct/hard-line reporting relationships)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Prior industry experience specific to government-sponsored healthcare and primary care network development
