Edgewell is a global team of over 6,000 visionaries, doers and makers. Our secret is people, and we have an inspiring and collaborative global force of them. Our portfolio of over 25 brands touches lives in more than 50 countries by making useful things joyful. Together, we reimagine good mornings and endless summers, strive for more sustainable ways to beautify and bond, and do it all with not only confidence but determination.
Edgewell Personal Care (EPC) is seeking a Senior Director - Creative Services and Digital Content to lead its in-house Creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a creative team that is newly expanded and whose influence over content development continues to grow. The primary scope features overseeing the development and execution of creative projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative creative solutions. You will play a crucial role in influencing how our brands (e.g. Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Wet Ones, Schick, Hydro Silk, Intuition, Skintimate, Edge, etc.) connect with consumers, including ensuring new creative assets are produced at the highest standard and with a dogmatic consistency across consumer vehicle touch points. Reporting to the President North America, you will play a crucial role in developing the team, building a creative capability that draws increasing demand from the category business units, and generating marketing assets that yield strong ROI and help Edgewell realize its growth and share objectives.
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Creative Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of creative professionals, including creative directors, associate creative directors, graphic designers, copywriters, project manager, and asset manager.
Working in tandem with marketing procurement as applicable, build strong relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers, effectively managing partnerships and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of outsourced creative services.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, especially with the leaders (General Managers and Marketing Leads) of all business units, to translate their business context and needs into strategic and tactical creative approaches and support.
Developing, sharing, and deploying creative insights, learning, and techniques that can benefit all North America units (and beyond)
Creative Production and Project Management:
Oversee the development of compelling and impactful creative solutions that elevate our brands, drive business growth and are in line with channel best practices. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, including a consistent visual identity and tone of voice across all channels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, social, media and innovation, to understand business objectives and lead the team to translate them into creative solutions.
Oversee the end-to-end execution of a high volume of digital content projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Ensure creative resources are allocated effectively.
Oversee and continually push to evolve and improve processes for efficient and effective creative production including optimizing project management and asset management software tools.
Oversee the department and brand digital content production budgets. Manage administration (e.g. contracts, payment, budget, usage) of outsourced creative work.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g. Generative AI), and creative best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the creative services team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, design, communications).
Proven experience (10+ years) in a creative or marketing leadership role, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency, or an in-house creative department.
Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects and campaigns across various mediums (print, digital, social media, etc.).
Deep understanding of branding principles, design aesthetics, and creative storytelling.
Experience with creative software tools and project management platforms.
Subject matter expert on digital content (e.g. eCommerce, social, paid campaigns).
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
The salary range for this position is $200,000- 300,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
