Burlington Stores is in search of a Senior Director of Construction that will provide strategic direction for the Construction Directors and Project Managers and play an integral role in defining the future of the department .

Leadership

• Develops and instills strong, independent leadership teams that assumes ownership and responsibility for each of their areas, personnel, and issue
• Develop the Directors and Project Management team, concentrating on improved, focused, solutions oriented communication, between business partners, vendors, and contractors
• Drive operational efficiencies and excellence across the organization
• Develop and communicate plans and expectations for the team
• Lead a team of 10 (2 direct reports and 8 indirect reports)
• Oversees the direction and completion of the master CPM construction timeline displaying the complete Project Life Cycle to aid all business partners in overall planning.

New Stores

• Develops team to effectively communicate with Landlord's construction and real estate representative to negotiate, VE, and develop the most realistic approach to the deal based on quickest time to market. Leads by example and is continuously coaching team to improve.
• Oversees the development of complete CPM project timelines from lease execution through Turnover and GO.
• Evaluates risk assessment for the overall project timelines and milestones.
• Creates the standard for communication amongst the Burlington team, the Landlord's Architect, and engineering consultants to ensure the development of a cohesive set of construction documents.
• Partners with Real Estate and Legal teams to review and red-line proposed work exhibits.
• Develops construction budgeting for Real Estate team for potential new deals.
• Provides options and alternatives to construction methods and Owner _I_ Tenant responsibilities to improve overall time to market.

Remodels

• Works closely with Burlington vendors, LP, IT, SP business partners to develop SOW and construction documents.
• Oversees the ail pre bid meeting with Directors, GC's, Architect and PM to establish bid timing, scope of work, VE options, alternates pricing.
• Develops and presents preliminary phasing plans and conduct meetings with Ops SVP and Store Planning for review, comment and mark-up.
• Ensures team conducts efficient space walk through with Architect to VE and develop a complete scope of work.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 10-12 years’ experience in leading large scale projects. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex organizational initiatives involving multiple functions and multiple business areas. Includes the identification and articulation of problems, influencing decision-making process as well as delivery of expected results. Experience in leading multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups; ability to lead projects and project team members to successful goal achievement.
