Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst Architect to work in the Global IT Services unit based in our Stamford, CT office or performed remotely (EST working hours) for appropriately qualified individual within Global IT Services.

Role Description

The candidate must be highly collaborative, organized, and analytical, and is expected to partner effectively with other teams within IT, business, and service units on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for aligning the business requirement to the Gen Re Common Data Model
• Responsible for user story technical and integration test documentation
• Support User Acceptance Testing
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of the Common Data Model
• Collaborate with Business Users and Business Analysts to understand requirements
• Contribute to user story solution design
• Support Report Developers using the Common Data Model
• Contribute to modeling, lineage, data privacy and team wiki documentation
• Support Data Owners and Data Stewards as required
• Support the Product Owner in framing the agile team’s backlog
• Collaborate with an agile DevOps development team responsible for Data Engineering in a Big Data Environment
• Responsible for communicating solution design to technical, business and management audiences

Role Qualifications and Experience

• 2+ years' experience working with cloud solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Prepare presentations and other communication material for a varied audience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 7+ years' experience working as a Data Modeler
• Exposure to the architecture discipline (e.g. TOGAF)
• Exposure to Power BI, SSAS, SSQL, ELT/ETL and Analysis tools
• 7+ years' experience working as a Systems Analyst
• 2+ years' experience working for an international insurance, reinsurance or financial organization
• Ability to deliver quality design and documentation to agreed timelines
• Attention to detail and structure
• 2+ years' experience working within an agile team
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, a science or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Salary Range

120,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
