Job Description

Ainsley Search Group is seeking a dynamic Senior Buyer to join our client based in Malvern, PA. As the Senior Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in procuring equipment and contractor services for our North American plants. Collaborating with multifaceted teams, your expertise will ensure optimized solutions in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and risk. This is a unique opportunity to lead the charge in forging connections across businesses, capabilities, and suppliers to drive transformational growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess capable suppliers and contractors for future opportunities.
  • Drive supplier performance and compliance, emphasizing EHS requirements.
  • Cultivate networks that promote knowledge sharing and experimentation for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to purchase order terms, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to select suppliers and improve value across the organization.
  • Build and nurture valuable relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies through strategic bidding, negotiations, and innovative approaches.
  • Develop proactive commodity strategies and innovative business processes for a competitive edge.
  • Negotiate contracts for Capex Services and Equipment across Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical domains.
  • Manage Capital procurement activities for multiple projects and sites, supporting $100MM over 5 years.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to define project scope and prepare detailed RFQs.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with strategic sourcing expertise.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% based on project and business needs.
  • Experience with SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Effective time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proven track record in capital procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in financial aspects of capital expenditures (ROCC, ROI, NPV, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams and presenting to executive leadership.
  • Expertise in contract creation, negotiation, and administration.
  • Sound understanding of process engineering, equipment design, and construction.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering cross-functional relationships.
