Job Description


The Senior Business Analyst role is a new position in Finance, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.


This role is created for business process analysis, dedicated system implementation and support of the finance and operations team. The business analyst is responsible for proactively generating and compiling recommended improvements to business processes and operation procedures. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive strategy execution and help maximize the benefit of Sirtex’s technology. This role will have high visibility and impact across the entire organization and will liaise daily with various stakeholders globally.


We are looking for individuals who understand how a corporation with a tangible product works. Business acumen is another key attribute required. We need the candidate to ask smart questions, know where and how to look for answers and capable of working autonomously albeit within a global team.


This individual will have expert knowledge of accounting, finance, and ERP systems. The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills to navigate a rapidly growing and complex business environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Our company uses SAP for accounting and operations. The consolidation and reporting function of SAP are not fully developed. The very first task for this role is to understand the account mapping, the business processes, reporting requirements and area rollups. This individual will actively participate in the establishment of an automated solution for Finance consolidation and reporting. As such, the individual will


  • Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Chief Financial Officer
  • Elicit, analyze, and evaluate current business practices, workflows and strategies and identify technology solutions needed to streamline and optimize business performance and positively impacts business ROI.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts, providing direction to Sirtex’s operational and technology growth.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance by developing KPI scorecards, reports or dashboards which communicate improvements made and ROI realized.
  • Lead product design/ problem identification workshops focusing on continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and conducting deep root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Provide guidance, documentation, and training to staff on SAP best practices, process, procedures, and issue resolution.
  • Develop fact-based recommendations to improve practices and strategies and work closely with the regional finance directors, project management office, IT, and other stakeholders to implement improvements


Qualifications


  • 7 years’ experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and enhancements.
  • Excellent engagement, facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to unite those with various perspectives towards a shared vision.
  • 3+ years proven experience in project management with an emphasis on continuous improvement and analytical problem solving.
  • Powerful and effective communications skill (oral, written and presentation) with the ability to communicate effectively through all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in developing, documenting and producing solutions, instructional, and procedural presentations at a high standard.
  • Experience utilizing quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, with high capacity for solving business problems with incomplete information
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Solid understanding of ERP system, hands-on experience with SAP is ideal. Experience with SAP S/4 Hanna is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail with the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast passed environment.
  • Past experience working for a global medical device company is a plus.
  • Deep experience identifying business issues, process mapping and business process reengineering, owning responsibility for the quality of deliverables, managing stakeholder relationships, and developing persuasive recommendations
  • Proven proficiency with process, and data mapping, testing, status monitoring, problem tracking and resolution
  • Strong understanding of business processes, regulatory requirements, internal control risk management, process, data and technology controls and related standards and frameworks as related to financial institutions.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment to solve business challenges and drive change in large organizations.
  • Solution oriented, with the ability to translate data into business improvement recommendations and actionable results.
  • Experience with defining workflows, defining business, functional, and technical requirements documents,
