Job Description
Senior Applications Developer needed by DIRECTV, LLC in El Segundo, CA [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to lead web development teams, including internal and external team members. Work on existing content supply portfolio of applications and services. Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components in the web software stack using JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Nginx, full stack technologies, libraries, and frameworks. Perform unit and function testing using Junit, Spock, Mockito, JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, and Postman. Work with asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event driven computing. Work within Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development team. Work on complex software issues, develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. Work on technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resource, quality constraints to achieve business, strategic goals, and requirements. Work with API design, development, Web Services design, and development including REST. Use HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, Redux, RESTful APIs, Nginx, Java, and SpringBoot. Use AWS, Azure cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, npm, Unix, and Linux command line.


REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation working with API design, development, Web Services design, and development including REST; using HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, Redux, RESTful APIs, Nginx, Java, and SpringBoot; and using AWS and Azure cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, npm, Unix, and Linux command line.Our Senior Applications Developers earn between $157,500 - $232,415 yearly.
