Responsibilities


Paradyme is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist our Operations and Finance teams with accounting operations within Deltek CostPoint. Accounting is the backbone of the company and must be accurate and consistent. The four-person accounting team is small but mighty, but we are one team at Paradyme. The Senior Accountant’s role is vital to ensure that company can continue to move forward and grow.


Our ideal candidate has a solid understating of AP, AR, and general ledger entries and reconciliations. They also have an understanding and experience running payroll. This person should be able to work collaboratively with the accounting and finance team as well as the operations team to ensure the business is running smoothly.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with any CostPoint account issues such as resetting resources passwords
  • Coordinates research and reporting of analytical reviews/variance analyses of certain balance sheet accounts and results of operations
  • Process payroll within our accounting system
  • Prepare and distribute all AR bills on a monthly basis
  • Participate in month end close activities, including the preparation of monthly journal entries
  • Prepares complex reconciliations for necessary balance sheet accounts and various other general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Setup New hires in Costpoint
  • Review bi-monthly timesheets for accuracy and completion
  • Maintain and update purchase orders in Costpoint on a regular basis with the assistance of the Contracts Department
  • Verify and process AP activity as needed throughout the month
  • Manage monthly reconciliations of our corporate American Express account


Basic Qualifications


  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suit of tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or business related field
  • 5 years work experience in a professional environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Supervisory/leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work under moderate supervision
  • Prior experience with accounting software (CostPoint, Unanet, Costpoint, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
  • Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
  • Sedentary work.
  • Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
