The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, have the ability to work on different project at one time, great with excel, have a great understanding of GAAP and have a minimum of 5 years working experience. If you have any experience banking or credit union you will have a leg up on your competition.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Assist with the development of annual budget
• Manage multiple projects at a time
• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Working knowledge of financial department workflow, ACL, ACH, investments, accounts payable, fixed assets, and accrued expense.
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Ability to check accuracy of account balances through general ledger by using GAAP

Qualifications

• Strong analytic skills
• Master's degree and CPA preferred but not required
• Strong written verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience
• Ability to learn new accounting software quickly
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
