In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. ***This position will be in Kansas City, MO***

Summary of Duties:

  • Coordinates with DOE to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations and orders
  • Recommends and/or implements policies and procedures in support of management objectives
  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
  • Plans and coordinates the access controls to allow authorized personnel or visitors facility access
  • Prepares and implements security policies and procedures and facilitates the administration of Security programs
  • May perform other duties as required
  • Conducts job duties in a fast paced work environment
  • Represents team in meetings with management
  • Provide technical support regarding Security programs under their purview
  • Supports security awareness training and education for security operations, job task analysis, security audits, surveys, and special studies
  • Develops and facilitates internal communications which may include processing and distribution of information through communications services
  • Develop and administer local Security trainings, processes & procedures, and plans assuring compliance with DOE/NNSA orders and other National Policies


You Must Have:

  • Ability to receive DOE security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in business, law enforcement education or training, or an appropriate field relevant to assigned duties or two (2) additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in law enforcement activities, security operations, or equivalent appropriate experience
