Job Description
The Security Analyst will be responsible for assessing and managing the security risks to OCCC’s systems, networks, and data. This position will play a critical role in safeguarding digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of OCCC’s information.

Minimum Education/Experience
At least three years of experience in information security or a related role.

Professional certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of information security principles, concepts, and best practices.

Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing methodologies.

Proficiency in analyzing security logs, network traffic, and event correlation tools.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GLBA, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, faculty, staff, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to frequently move about the College campus and off-site locations to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently perform tasks that involve repetitive motions of hands, fingers, and wrists.

This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to work with equipment and/or assist employees.

This position requires the person to use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to grasp, push, pull, lift, or carry materials or equipment.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Five or more years of experience in information security or a related role.
Required Training
Quarterly training as required.
Work Hours
8am to 5pm Monday – Friday
Weekends, holidays, and after hours as required.
