Overview: Beach Server will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously, and efficiently. Collect payments. Assists in the maintenance of the Miramar Club area and equipment. Maintain luxury service standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the daily cleanliness of the pool and/or beach areas
- Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Takes food and beverage orders in a friendly and timely manner and ensures accurate entry and delivery of the order.
- Ensures tables/guest areas are well maintained at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
- Maintains knowledge of all specials and general descriptions of all food items and explains to guests.
- Totals guest bills, presents them to guests in a timely manner and obtains full payment along with appropriate paperwork, such as signed credit card slips.
- Meets guest and Company service standards at all times.
- Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques. Ensuring that the Miramar Club experience is delivered in a world-class manner.
Requirements:
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.

- Possess a positive attitude and be able to deliver exceptional service.
- Present a well-groomed, polished, and friendly appearance.
- Extremely tolerant of working in heat and direct sun.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be in good health and endure extended standing and bending periods.
- Be flexible and able to work split shifts that will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Experience: Minimum one year experience as a server, preferably within a hotel.
Education: High school diploma.
General Skills: Professional, positive image, with strong leadership skills; must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up; proven ability to develop and train staff; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills: Ability to understand guests' service needs; ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time; ability to focus attention on details; ability to suggestively sell restaurant menu items, beverages, and wines; ability to access and input information into P.O.S. system; ability to maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly; ability to exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage guests; ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting up to 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, and reach up and down.
- Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Licenses and Certificates: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to pour alcohol. Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service certifications are required.
The pay scale for this position is between $15.50 and $15.50/hour plus tips, etc. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
Rosewood Miramar Beach requires all associates to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination, including receiving a booster if eligible. Accordingly, applicants will be required to submit proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment and may only begin employment if fully vaccinated.
