Summary:

As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the Agile processes and ensuring the successful delivery of our software projects. You will work closely with the product owners, development team, and stakeholders to promote collaboration, remove obstacles, and drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Scrum Master to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a servant-leader, fostering self-organization and facilitating decision-making within the team.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and foster an environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and team empowerment.
  • Guide and coach the development team and product owner on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks, particularly Scrum.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Remove obstacles and address impediments that hinder the team's progress and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure the team follows SAFe Agile practices and ceremonies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones and manage expectations effectively.
  • Help the team define and refine user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and actionable.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, such as sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and team capacity, to provide visibility into the project's progress.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to foster effective communication and collaboration within the team.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to influence and guide teams towards adopting Agile practices and embracing change.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) and other Agile tools and project management software.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and frameworks (CRM, Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Financial industry knowledge a plus
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is preferred.
