Scrum Master Specialist are business, function, or process specialist with a background in project management. Scrum Master Specialist I is seen as an Individual Contributor within their team. You do not manage other individuals, however, they are expected to informally mentor junior members within your team. Key Responsibilities

• Remove impediments and serve as a leader.

• Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.

• Know and understand the Scrum process and your role within it.

• Maximize the benefits of the Scrum process.

• Be empowered to make decisions and deliver value.

• Build trust with your team.

• Participate in the Scrum Master Commuity of Practice by sharing experiences and demonstrating techniques to promote the community.

• Support delivery of Stories and Features at the local team level

• Identify impediments and resolves using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation)

• Introduce new and promoted practices to improve the team and their delivery throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Display ability to work in a DevOps environment

• Agile & Technical Learning: finds and participates in multiple learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community.
