2023 SEASONAL Scoop Shop Position
About Us - Zsa’s is a small-batch ice cream company that makes “Seriously from Scratch”
super-premium ice cream and novelties. We produce from our Manayunk kitchen and have a
good time serving our community with fun, approachable, delicious, and innovative creations at
our Mt. Airy scoop shop. We’re a small, hard-working crew who’s focused on continually
developing our best version of ice cream, perfecting the recipes that have become our
signatures over the past 12 years, improving our operations, and serving our community. We
believe that ice cream brings us together as a co-working team, it brings our team
together with our customers, and it brings our customers together as a community.
We’re a growing small business, and we’re hiring employees who are excited and up for the
challenge of growing with our company.
About the Position - We’re hiring for a SEASONAL part-time (April-September) position at
our Mt. Airy scoop shop for approx. 24 hours/week. Primary job responsibilities will include:
- Cheerfully interacting with customers and providing excellent customer service -
- Using Square point of sale software to accurately take orders
- Learning about Zsa’s business model & products and being able to correctly provide this
- Scooping orders and assembling specialty menu items such as sundaes or floats
- Completing opening & closing procedures
- Working with the shop team & owner to maintain a clean & safe atmosphere and an
efficient workflow, especially during significantly high-traffic times
Must have Tuesday-Sunday afternoon and evening availability
- Must have an enthusiastic, positive, kind, can-do, professional, hard-working attitude and
- Must be at least 18 and have reliable transportation to our Mt. Airy shop
- Must be passionate about ice cream & desserts
- Must be on time for all shifts
- Must have excellent communication & listening skills in order to correctly enter and fulfill
- Must provide excellent customer service and care about the quality of our products and
- Must be outgoing and a people person
- Must be able to troubleshoot and calmly and patiently resolve any customer issues that
may arise

- Although ice cream experience is not necessary, prior food service experience is highly
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, and also be motivated
- ServSafe Certification or a Philly Food Safety Certificate is preferred
- Must follow opening & closing task lists & work cleanly and efficiently, complying with
- Must follow Zsa’s established quality standards in fulfilling orders
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and perform repetitive
- Must be able to work Tuesday-Sunday shifts that will fall between the hours of
11am-10:30pm, with occasional morning availability for pre-scheduled deep cleaning,
meetings, and training.
- All candidates will be asked to work 3 paid trial shifts
- Working with a company that has a strong reputation and a solid community base of

- Paid holidays, plus vacation/sick days as hours and time with the company accrue
- Incremental raises based on increased responsibilities & performance
- Semi-flexible schedule and time off with advanced notice
- Ability to grow with the company and increase hours and responsibilities.
- Complimentary ice cream and privilege of buying items at cost from our vendor partners
- Base pay of $10.50-$14/hour based on experience, plus tips
