Scientist, Simple Plex Assay Development

Position Summary:

Salary Range: $84,800 - 127,300 depending on experience and qualifications

A unique opportunity to join a development team for a rapidly growing, cutting-edge immunoassay technology. As an Assay Development Scientist your responsibilities would include the development of novel Simple Plex immunoassays for the Ella platform. You will work closely with a team of experienced developers as well as cross-functionally with other teams to ensure ongoing delivery and dynamic prioritization of novel, high-quality assays. Functioning as a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and scientific support to the team, advising on assay optimization, reagent evaluation, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve development goals
• Develop high-quality immunoassays for the Ella platform
• Provide scientific leadership as part of a team of developers to further expand the commercial assay offering
• Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook, as well as safety guidelines as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals.
• Function as a subject-matter expert by providing meaningful technical insight for assay troubleshooting
• Be a self-motivated and self-directed individual who can accomplish objectives while managing competing priorities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience in developing immunoassays (or related methods), preferably within an industry setting
• Experience with automated ELISA platforms or microfluidics is a plus
• PhD in related field and up to 5 years of relevant experience is required
• Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written
• Project management capabilities with excellent problem-solving ability and innate attention to detail
• Master’s degree + 5 years of relevant experience, or:
• Deep understanding of immunoassay principles
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
• Experience in leading teams (either formally or informally) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences (or a related field) + 8 years of relevant experience, or:
