Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced part-time Scheduling Specialist (Remote) to join our Patient Access team!
Shift: Part-time**
Schedule: Days**
Under the direction of the Regional Patient Access Call Center Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for timely and accurate appointment scheduling with expertise in scheduling protocols, registration, insurance requirements/verification, identification of accurate patient responsibility with notification to the patient for the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Region which includes Mercy Fitzgerald, Nazareth Hospital, St. Francis Wilmington and St. Mary Medical Center Langhorne.

• After (3) three months of on-site training, this role will be remote.

Ongoing, there is a requirement to be on-site when needed for team meetings, trainings, etc.
Scheduling Specialist

• Answers the phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Communicates professionally with physician offices and other departments in the hospital.
• Is responsible for testing, associated studies and those with study specific instructions. for pre-registration, scheduling, electronically verifying insurance eligibility and accurately identifying patient financial responsibility.
• Consistently makes an effort to exceed the needs of the patient.
• Handles complex scheduled events, including high dollar testing, associated studies and those with study specific instructions.
• Begins the overall patient experience and initiates the billing process for any services provided by the hospital.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (required)
• Knowledge of up-front collections, insurance verification or pre-registration (Preferred)
• 1-2 years' recent Scheduler experience (preferred)
