Position Overview


Kiewit is seeking a Scheduling Analyst to be based out of its Portsmouth, NH office. We are looking for the ideal candidate to perform planning and scheduling activities on heavy civil infrastructure projects. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly impact the scheduling outcome, from estimate through project completions, over a broad range of projects. By analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining the projects’ progress, you’ll prepare and analyze reports, develop alternative solutions, and be a key team member in driving successful project completion.


District Overview


You will be part of Kiewit’s Eastern District, which specializes in challenging infrastructure construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC. We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit’s Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.

This person will work on a confidential federal project in Portsmouth, NH.


Responsibilities


  • Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risk.
  • Manage internal controls including implementing process controls, measuring project performance, reporting on project status, and ensuring the integrity and validity of internally and externally disseminated information.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, available manpower, and resources.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the project.
  • Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks.
  • May interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give statistical reports as needed.


Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (technical training and related experience may be considered in lieu of).
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Computer proficient and the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes.
  • Primavera (P6) scheduling preferred.
  • Demonstrated work ethic.
  • 3+ years of experience working in construction scheduling.
