Coupang is looking for a lead Staff Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for IT Sarbanes Oxley (SOX 404) Compliance activities focusing on SAP. This role will ensure the effective execution of the SOX IT general controls (ITGCs) for Coupang Corporate IT including affiliates.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Controls & Process Design

· Advise SAP and engineering teams on business and SOX requirements for financial data integrations to SAP

· Drive the design, implementation and ongoing monitoring of IT general controls for Coupang’s core SAP ERP instances, which may include design of relevant processes or technical infrastructure to support controls

· Assist in driving IT control deficiency remediation efforts, including conducting root cause and impact analysis, identifying mitigating controls, creating remediation plans, and actively coordinating with IT process owners to ensure the success of remediation activities

· Perform quarterly IT deficiency evaluations in coordination with Finance.

Documentation

· Create and manage and data flow diagrams of SOX processes, documenting Coupang’s engineering systems interacting with SAP applications and keeping them up to date on a regular basis.

  • Ensure all ITGC documentation, including IT Risk and Controls Matrix, narratives, findings and remediation plans are update to date and accessible on the Company’s centralized SOX program management tool (Workiva)

Technical Knowledge

  • Have a deep technical understanding of SAP, including knowledge of SAP security architecture, data integration processes, HANA database architecture, and T-code management and analysis.
  • Maintain an awareness of new and emerging IT risks, regulations and trends that impact technology controls and IT controls accordingly

Program Management

  • Assist in the communication status of IT control activities, verbally and in writing. Ensure that stakeholders are kept up to date on key information.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for Corp IT to advise on IT control / compliance matters
  • Liase between Corp IT and internal and external auditors, lead IT walkthroughs, and assist management in responding to internal and external auditor requests relating to ITGCs, IT Application Controls (ITACs), Key Reports, and business process controls as necessary


Education / Skills / Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree computer sciences, mathematics, management/computer information systems, accounting, or related fields. MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred – can be replaced by experience

· Minimum 8-10 years of related work experience in information technology SOX compliance, IT risk management, or related fields

· Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (SOX) and IT General Controls

· Professional auditing, security, or technology designation (e.g., CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISRM, etc.)

· Knowledge of IT / Information Security risks and controls principles

· Foundation in analyzing, problem determination, and resolving complex IT problems

· Experienced with controls, or risk management with both enterprise applications and developed software, including:

  • Must speak English; bilingual in Korean preferred
  • Service oriented architecture concepts
  • Distributed systems access management and service deployment
  • Modern software development practices

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $146,680/year in our lowest geographic market to $276,120/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
