POSITION SUMMARY:
- Stay up-to-date with new features/system enhancements coming from Salesforce; recommend and manage implementation of new functionality as needed
- Document and maintain protocols and procedures for Salesforce and third-party applications
- Create and maintain Salesforce users, roles, profiles, security settings, custom objects, record types, fields, and page layouts to meet staff access and data security needs
- For all data integrity processes, embody a hyper-focus on ensuring that new systems and processes “stick” across all Salesforce users, meaning they are user-friendly, well thought-out, intuitive, and meet the evolving needs of end users in their design and implementation
- Develop and monitor process/flow automations, dashboards, and reports
- Lead and support on cross-departmental data uploads to ensure accurate, consistent data, and monitoring syncs from external data sources.
- Collaborate across departments to vet new vendors and third-party applications to ensure they meet the needs of the organization and system requirements, and work with vendors to install, update, and troubleshoot as needed
- Regularly assess and solicit new opportunities to align organizational data needs with Salesforce’s offerings, and lead follow-through on ideas as plans are approved by department/organizational leaders
- Manage consultants to ensure the project meets the organization’s needs, the delivery is on-time, and we are within the project’s budget
- Lead project management of all Salesforce related projects through an organization-wide prioritization process and take projects through full project management cycle
- Recruit, vet, and onboard Salesforce consultants to lead a new project to integrate finance work into Salesforce
- Manage user feedback and troubleshooting systems, resolving troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Develop and lead on-going training of all Salesforce users
- Facilitate weekly cross-departmental Salesforce meetings to identify, build out, and test tools that enable us to use Salesforce to effectively track data and enhance student- and practitioner-level impact.

- Project Management: able to assess complexities and dependencies of projects; breaks work down into tasks, timelines, and owners, and can keep work moving on target through peer management; makes iterative adjustments as needed; ensures clear communication of progress, deliverables, and adjustments to those involved. Experience working with technology consultants is preferred.

- Salesforce Expertise: has experience and comfort using CRMS with at least 1 year experience as a Salesfroce admin, ideally using NPSP. Comfortable with Salesforce Administrative tasks including: creation and manipulation of fields, objects, page layouts, reports, dashboards, flows, and processes; management of data imports; build out of user profiles, permissions, and security settings (while not every candidate may not have deep expertise in all areas, we are looking for someone who is comfortable with the majority of them). Salesforce Administrator certificate and experience in NPSP and Lightning preferred.
- Consulting: We collaborate with partners to assess their needs and offer uniquely designed solutions in the areas of content development, program improvement and systems change, by leveraging our financial aid expertise, student-advising experience, and student-centered research.
- Training & Technical Assistance: We equip partners with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the financial aid process with their students by curating engaging trainings and student-centered resources.
- Student Advising: We guide students, families, and communities to navigate complex financial aid systems in pursuit of equitable access to affordable postsecondary pathways through in-person and virtual advising.
- Scholarship & Emergency Aid: We commit to placing money into the hands of students allowing them to use these funds to cover tuition bills and other unexpected expenses.
- Policy: We advocate for institutional, state, and federal policy change to transform financial aid and higher education systems, based on our students' lived experiences.
