Job Description
Sunbelt Supply is global provider of flow control solutions. We maintain one of the largest and most diversified selections of valves, actuators, actuation accessories and specialty PFF in North America, comprised of more than 50 major manufacturers. We provide in-house valve automation services, including CAD design and drawings, machine, fabrication, assembly shops featuring CNC machinery, and automation repair work. The objective of the Trainee Rotational Development Program is to provide the necessary tools, resources, and experiences to recent graduates in developing the appropriate skill set and self-confidence to become the future leaders of the Company.
This is rotational development trainee program is a cross-functional intensive program designed to educate, train and develop the skill set of our future sales and operations leaders to ensure their success in establishing careers at Sunbelt Supply. You will get hands on experience through on-the-job training, subject matter experts, and sales and operations leadership. This internship will rotate into the following departments:
  • Expeditor
  • Outside Sales
  • Operations/Warehouse
  • Inside Sales
  • Sales Support Associate
Summary of Responsibilities
The role of the Trainee will be to provide support and partner with the teams from operations, supply chain, and sales to identify business needs and solutions in driving the overall business strategy of the company. They will develop and implement critical business solutions through information gathering, synthesis, and review. They will secure and allocate resources, manage implementation schedules, and facilitate meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Be able to extract and manipulate large data sets, is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data, communicate with non-financial and non-technical customers and develop recommendations for solving problems while exhibiting realistic understanding of issues
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • High degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong work ethic
Warehouse Associate
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
Sales Support Associate
  • Maintains strong working relationships with customers
  • Resolves customer service issues.
  • Provides documentation required by customer
  • Tracks open sales orders
Expeditor
  • Ensures timely shipment of product, required documents, and overall customer satisfaction
  • Managing multiple orders in an effective and organized manner
  • Reviews new orders and vendor purchase orders for entry errors
Qualifications
Training/Experience:
  • Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility. BS/BA is preferred
  • Advanced Power user in Excel and PowerPoint, is a plus
  • Experience in oil and gas industry, is a plus
Problem Complexity:
  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data
Autonomy:
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.
