Responsibilities Include
  • Complete product and development training as required.
  • Answer clients’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses and assist them in making product selections based on their unique needs.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with all clients and potential clients.
  • Complete your daily sales activity log at the end of each workday and submit other paperwork as needed.
  • Inform customers of delivery schedules, service, and other information pertaining to products.
  • Attend sales meetings with your team when scheduled (occasionally in-person, but usually virtual or phone meetings).
  • Meet with potential new business clients to discuss their employee benefits program needs and to explain how our products can help them.
  • Collaborate with your sales team colleagues to exchange information as required, such as selling strategies and assistance or marketing information.
  • Prospect in person by cold-calling and developing connections with business owners and key decision makers at businesses within your assigned local territory. An excellent free leads program is provided by our company to assist you in building your book of sales business, and you will receive hands-on training with one of our top sales trainers throughout your first month and on an ongoing basis as needed after your first month.
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals that explain product features and benefits.
  • Study information about new products to ensure market knowledge and able to make product recommendations. Know and understand all competitive pricing and products.

Additional Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience. Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered, as will candidates with less than 4 years of professional work experience who have relevant or specialized outside sales experience.
  • Already licensed in Health & Life general lines (or willing and able to obtain Health & Life producer license - licensing reimbursement offered)
