- Maintain safety records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage safety-related projects and initiatives to improve safety performance and reduce risk.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve safety performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
