Job Description
Role Synopsis Health and Safety Leader


In order to accomplish companies aims and objectives, the Health and Safety Area Leader is in charge of overseeing all business activities connected to health and safety. They also develop strategies to establish and maintain compliance with laws and Magna standards. accountable for providing EHS functions with direction and assistance. Additionally, this role is in charge of implementing and keeping up-to-date crucial management systems that satisfies all client, and internal audit standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.


Important Responsibilities Health and Safety Leader


Supports the growth and compliance of health and safety programs to guarantee compliance and ongoing program improvement in all areas.


Promote both planned and impromptu audits, inspections, and safety walks


assists the members of the health and safety team in their development facilities.


monitoring and carrying out the yearly Health and Safety training program


makes that the Joint Health and Safety Committee's goals are met


Organize answers to informational and/or visit requests from regulatory agencies (such as OSHA, ADEM, and EPA).


Find and take advantage of chances to reduce the cost-effects of workers' compensation.


After an audit and after an incident, maintain HSE Linx action plans.


Make that workers' compensation is handled quickly and in accordance with protocol.


In collaboration with the EHS WCM Manager, assess internal and external risks and put plans, policies, and programs into place to reduce those risks to safety.

Additional Details


KNOWLEDGE


Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or similar work experience, is necessary. High school diploma or GED is also acceptable.


EXPERIENCE AT WORK Health And Safety Leader


What kinds? Casting, assembly, and heavy industrial manufacture for automobiles are favoured. Experience managing a team and performing supervisory duties is preferred.
