Job Description
Our client is currently one of the largest and most sophisticated intermodal trucking providers in the US. Along with their highly dedicated drayage specialists, they are committed to providing their customers with 100% satisfaction both on On-Time delivery and customer communication. Our client specializes in the transportation of Import and Export Ocean Containers (FCL) out of all the US ports with a very strong presence in the Port of NY and NJ region. They have interchange agreements with all the Steamship Lines and port with capabilities to deliver anywhere in the US.

Safety Administrator


The Safety Administrator will have primary responsibility for providing and managing procedures for compliance with DOT and FMCSA.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure all drivers and site personnel maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist the director.
  • Collect documentation from drivers, including truck information and driver information but not limited to truck registration, logs, medical card monthly maintenance.
  • Prepare driver DOT qualification files and keep driver qualification files up to date.
  • Perform continuous auditing and inspections to driver qualification files for driver safety success.


Experience


  • 2+ years of Google spreadsheets experience is required.
  • Previous experience reviewing driver ELDs & daily logs plus maintaining compliance.
  • 2+ year of fleet management experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in the import and export industry required.
  • 3+ drayage transportation and safety management experience is required.
