Job Description
Job Summary:


Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced RV Service Technician to join their team and provide top-notch service to their valued customers. As an RV Service Technician, you will be responsible for:


Responsibilities:


  • Performing routine maintenance and complex repairs on various RV systems and components, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, awnings, slide-outs, leveling systems, and more.
  • Following established protocols and service procedures while continually seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring all repairs and services meet high-quality standards, adhering to industry regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Maintaining inventory of necessary parts, tools, and equipment, and placing orders as needed.
  • Accurately documenting all service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and relevant details for record-keeping purposes.
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems promptly to minimize downtime and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting thorough diagnostic tests to identify issues and malfunctions, ensuring accurate and efficient problem-solving.
  • Interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repairs, and providing recommendations for future maintenance.


RequirementsQualifications:


  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Proven experience as an RV Service Technician or a similar role in the automotive or recreational vehicle industry.
  • Possession of relevant certifications is highly desirable, such as RVIA/RVDA certification (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association/Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association) and ASE certifications related to automotive, medium/heavy-duty trucks, or buses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to work in a team-based environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of RV systems, components, and their functionalities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, propane, and mechanical systems.
  • To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment, work in varying weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnostics, repairs, and documentation.


Certifications:


  • Familiarity with RV computerized systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Previous experience in a dealership or service center environment.
  • Manufacturer-specific certifications from reputable RV manufacturers (e.g., Winnebago, Forest River, Jayco, etc.).
