Hexcel is currently seeking an R&T Manager – Advanced Composites Fabrication Lab for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• Lead and create vision for a team of applications engineers and technicians
• Liaise with industry and universities on latest composite manufacturing technologies
• Design, plan, and execute aerospace demonstrator parts with Hexcel’s materials
• Work with Hexcel’s R&T team to provide input into the development of new products and technologies
• Work with customers to promote Hexcel’s products

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to succinctly present recommendations to stakeholders, customers, and management
• Masters’ degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other engineering discipline, preference for PhD
• Minimum Ten (10+) years of mechanical design and hands-on manufacturing engineering industry experience in aerospace that would permit performance of essential duties and responsibilities.
• Experience with composite manufacturing techniques and equipment for processes such as Autoclave curing, RTM, AFP, compression molding, CCM, stamping, and thermoplastic welding preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for the team's spirit of innovation and demonstrating Hexcel’s products to industry preferred
