Robotics Engineer Jobs

Chewy is seeking a Robotics Engineer for its Robotics Team in Boston, MA. In this role you will be a key member of the technology team that researches, develops, tests, and deploys scalable industrial automation, robotics, and warehouse control software systems to support the growth of Chewy’s fulfillment operations.
What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with internal Hardware and Software teams in component specifications, system integrations, testing, installation, and commissioning
• Work with internal operations stakeholders to obtain system feedback and measure system performance
• Identify and mitigate development/integration risks
• Test concepts and features through simulators, emulators, and with live equipment
• Develop functional software and hardware specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
• Design and develop industrial automation and robotic systems to be deployed at scale
• Partner with external vendors to develop, test, and deploy systems at scale

What You’ll Need

• Experience developing applications for computer vision systems
• Ability to travel as needed
• Experience with 2D or 3D engineering design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Bachelor's Degree (Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
• Ability to simultaneously support multiple high priority projects in a fast paced environment
• 5+ years developing industrial automation and robotic systems

Bonus (if Applicable)

• Ability to program in C, Python, Java, or related language
• Experience developing or interacting with cloud based systems (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience developing applications in material handling systems
• Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming
• Master's Degree (Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
• Experience designing and developing machine learning models
